DKE GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2016. It consists of a consortium of well-known agricultural engineering companies (currently 16 shareholders), who have jointly realized that Farming 4.0 only works if there is a cross-manufacturer and cross-product data exchange.
Together with the consortium companies and sponsors, DKE-Data had the idea of creating a manufacturer-neutral, cross-product data exchange platform (agrirouter) and coordinated the necessary developments. Today the company controls all activities related to the operation of the agrirouter and coordinates its further development. DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG is based in Osnabrück Science Park and acts as a non-profit company with a B2B business model.
The company is managed by Dr. Jens Möller, who did his doctorate in mechanical engineering at the Institute of Technology in Brunswick. In 2016 he was appointed managing director of the newly founded DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG.
Dr. Johannes Sonnen is responsible for the product management at DKE-Data GmbH & Co. KG. After completing an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic, he got a degree in agricultural engineering technology from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (FH) and received his doctorate in the field of agricultural technology from the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2006.
The DKE-DATA consortium is globally open to additional shareholders and business partners.
