Dr. Markus Gandorfer is head of the Digital Farming Group at the Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Animal Husbandry - an institute affiliated with the Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture (LfL).

Markus Gandorfer studied Horticulture, then did his doctorate with a thesis on the economic and environmental evaluation of precision farming technologies, and finally earned his habilitation in Agricultural Economics.
His work focuses mainly on the evaluation of digital farming technologies and the acceptance of digital technologies in agriculture and society.
